What I Packed For Spring Break 19’: Outfits, Shoes, & Accessories

HELLO! Happy Thursday! I’m looking forward to the weekend, we are so close! Do you have off for Good Friday? Sadly, my office is open, so I will be working, but I am staying at my parents house this weekend, and I’m looking forward to that! Family time is always the best 😊 Anyways, for today’s post I am sharing Part 2 of the “What I Packed for Spring Break” series. So, Part 2, is dedicated to clothes, shoes, and accessories! Like I did for Part 1, I will go into detail about fit and sizing as well as share photos of each outfit (I did my best to get photos in each outfit, but didn’t get everything, so a few will just be sizing and descriptions!)

**if you missed part 1, you can read it, here!

Warm weather looks are my all-time favorite, specifically, vacation/beachy looks. I swear, I was born to live somewhere warm (hehe).

Outfit 1- Utility Romper + Olive Cardigan
This was probably one of my favorite outfits from the trip, if not my favorite. I wore this to dinner at a place called Pinchers, the restaurant sits on a beautiful harbor and the food was AMAZING. I am still dreaming about the hot crab cheese dip.

Romper: I had never heard of this brand before, but when I stumbled upon this romper, I knew I needed to order it! The romper is a comfy linen fabric and has the cutest utility vibe to it. It’s hard to tell in the photos, but the details on this romper are amazing, you get what you pay for. This brand is Australian based so the sizing is a bit different, it runs TTS, I ordered an AUS size 10 (US size 6). Two things I will add is I am 5’3” and the legs were a bit too long, so I had them hemmed about an 1” and the straps are adjustable! I cannot wait for it to warm up here so I can wear this again!

Olive Cardigan: I am always cold, so I paired the romper with this olive cardigan, and love how it looked! I am wearing a size small and it runs TTS.

Straw Bag + Pineapple Scarf Set: I wore this bag with so many looks during this trip! Its super lightweight but can hold all of your things! I’m tempted to get the black version too. I tied a pineapple scarf around it for a little extra pizazz. The scarf is actually a hair tie, but the scrunchy and scarf just untie, so it’s actually really versatile. The scarf is a set, it comes with the pineapple and then with a blue palm print one.

Rag & Bone Sandals: I splurged on these right before we left for our trip. I got them at a local shop called Twigs. Rag & Bone shoes have quickly become a favorite of mine because of the details and comfort. I bought a pair of black booties for the fall and winter and wore them ALL the time, so it make it easier to pull the trigger on these, and I am so happy that I did! I wore them with several other looks and the cross buckle detail is so unique! For sizing, this brand does run TTS and is an EU sizing, so I purchased a 38 (US 8).
Gold Hoop Earrings: Another purchase from Twigs. I love that the hoops are lined with rhinestones on both the inside and outside of the hoop, so they really sparkle!

Outfit 2- Palm Shorts + Black Tank
This outfit gives me all of the beach vibes while still being super comfy and casual. I wore this fun short and tank combo to a place on Pine Island called Miceli’s, which was soooo yummy! We actually ended up going to this restaurant twice because it was so good, it’s right on the water and has live music every night. But the best part, endless garlic bread!

Palm Shorts: I bought these shorts in December when Revolve was having a sale, THANK GOODNESS I did because they are amazing! I love that they are a drawstring waist and are high waisted- they are super flattering and comfy! Run TTS, wearing a size medium.

Black Tank: I love this tank top! So much so, that I bought it in Navy too (sharing in an outfit later in this post) It’s always on sale around $10, which is a steal! It’s a ribbed fabric, is incredibly soft, and is truly a closet staple. I sized up to a medium because they are VERY fitted.

Black Linen Cardigan: Not in the photo, but I knew once I got to dinner I would be cold, I threw this linen cardigan in the car, just in case! It’s been a staple in my closet for years, I love it! Runs TTS, wearing a small. Linking this year’s version and this is a similar one.

Deco Earrings: These are so fun! They are black, blush, and wood. I specifically bought them to go with this outfit but have worn them with so many things sense. They look like they would be heavy, but they are super lightweight.

Rose Gold Ring Set: These have been my go-to rings sense my parents gifted them to me for Valentine’s Day!

Square Toe Tory Burch Miller Sandals: I’ve had my classic millers for a few years now, so when I saw they came out with the square toe in the tan/black, I knew I needed them. They don’t have the same amount of padding that the classics do, but they still are just as comfortable. Run TTS, wearing an 8.

Outfit 3- Black Jumpsuit
I love jumpsuits! They make putting an outfit tougher to easy, that’s probably why I always pack at least one on vacation! I wore this look to dinner at Iguana Mia, which a Mexican place. I filled up on guac and street tacos! It was so yummy!

Jumpsuit: I love this jumpsuit!! It’s hard to tell in the photos, but the shoulders are ties (meaning you can adjust for your torso length- super nice!) with tassels at the end- so fun! The fabric is super silky and has little embroidered dots all of it. The legs have a slit on the outsides that go up to about the knee on me, which was super flattering on my 5’ 3” frame, it made my legs look much longer. For sizing, I ordered both a small and a medium. I ended up keeping the medium because it draped better.

Straw Hat: My favorite straw hat of all time! I also own it in the lilac, which is stunning. I am wearing the medium size.

Denim Jacket: Not pictured, but I wore my go-to denim jacket while at dinner because we sat on the patio. It runs TTS, I own the medium, but could also do the size small.

Gold Hoops: Same as in Outfit #1

Straw Bag + Pineapple Scarf Set: Same as in Outfit #1

Square Toe tory Burch Miller Sandals: Same as in Outfit #2. Run TTS, wearing a size 8.

Outfit 4- Palm Tree Embroidered Shorts + Beach Sweater
For this dinner look, I actually bought the shorts and sweater earlier in the day, we had spent the day exploring Sanibel Island, and popped into this cute shop called Sea Glass Lane. I could have bought a lot more, buttt… airline weight limits stopped me (ugh!) I wore this beachy look for our second trip to Miceli’s- needed more garlic bread 😊

Beach Sweater: This swear is so perfect for summer or vacation. It’s so beachy and airy looking. It’s super lightweight but surprisingly warm (but not too warm). I love it so much that I think I am going to order another style from this brand! Runs TTS, I am wearing the S/M.

Bralette: I layered the sweater over my favorite bralette. I am wearing the white color in a size small.

Palm Tree Embroidered Shorts: The details on these shorts are amazing. It’s hard to tell in the photos but some of the palm trees are beaded, so pretty! And the tie waist is a tan tassel that is also beaded- obsessed! I found these ran a bit small, so I sized up to the large for a more loose fit.

Straw Earrings: These are just perfection. Really, so perfect for any summer look! Cannot wait to wear these all season long.

Gold Flip Flops: If you are looking for a comfy, affordable, basic flip flop, these are for you! I buy these every year specifically for the pool/beach in several colors. Run TTS, wearing a size 8. I also talked about them in my Spring Shoe Round Up, here.

Rose gold ring set: Same as in outfit #2

Straw Bag + Pineapple Scarf Set: Same as Outfit #1 and #3

Outfit 5- Olive Dress + White Denim Jacket
So cool story about this photo, we were all getting ready to head off to dinner and all of a sudden, a Manatee was drinking out of the water return in the canal. We were like 1 foot away from him/her. It was so cute and such a cool thing to see! We also saw lots of fish and sting ray while we were staying there.

Tie Dress: This dress is super flattering, it is insanely soft, and comes in several colors! I loved the olive so much that I ordered the blue color too! The tie waist is adjustable too, so you can tie it as tight or as loose as you want. It runs TTS, I am wearing a medium!

White Denim Jacket: Denim jackets are always something I like to invest in, because I wear them all the time! I just love the raw bottom hem and that the cuffs are cut off on the arms, it’s a fun twist while still being classic. For sizing, I no joke spent 30 minutes in Twigs trying on the medium then the small, then the medium again, and so on. I ended up keeping the small.

Rag & Bone Sandals: Same as Outfit #1, Run TTS, wearing a 38/US.

Straw Bag + Pineapple Scarf Set: Same as Outfit #1, #3, and #4.

Straw Earrings: Same as Outfit #4

Rose Gold Ring Set: Same as Outfit #2 and #4

Outfit 6- Flamingo Shirt + Denim shorts

This look is just easy, comfy, and FUN! Who doesn’t love flamingos?!

9b9846d9-20eb-4d89-955f-3c99bdc9e2e4

Flamingo Button Up Shirt: This just screams vacation! The island and flamingo print Is just so fun. The cropped style makes it super cute to pair with high waisted bottoms. The sizing is a bit of a preference, so I am wearing a size small, and it’s pretty fitted, if I sized up to the medium it would be less cropped and a bit less fitted.

Agolde Parker Shorts: My favorites!! I did a whole post dedicated to them, so if you are still on the fence about these, check that out here. I am wearing the size 27 (update sense the shorts review: I kept both the 27 & 28, because I liked them both, for different fit/style reasons) I also packed the Dee short by Agolde. Cannot recommend both styles enough.

Straw Earrings: Same as Outfit #4 and #5

Gold Flip Flops: Same as Outfit #4. Run TTS, wearing an 8.

Sunglasses: Both of these are pictured in all of my photos!
Black Sunglasses
Rose Gold Sunglasses

While I did my best to get photos in all of the outfits I packed, some nights I just didn’t feel like it! So please excuse these low quality mirror selfies (and my messy room- I was packing for vacation). Travel hack- I take photos (like the ones below) in all of my outfits before I pack them in my suitcase, this makes choosing an outfit on vacation a breeze, no thinking involved!

** I have numbered each ‘selfie’ to correspond with with outfit number

7

Outfit 7- Gingham Shorts + Navy Tank
My sister, brother-in-law, and two nieces live in FL, so we drove up and spent the day on the boat with them! I packed this outfit to change into for dinner. We went to a place in Palm Harbor called Fins and it was such a cool atmosphere and the food was amazing!

Shorts: These are so fun, I love that they flair out, it makes my legs look so much longer and leaner. Sadly, these sold out right away, but sizes do appear randomly, so I will still link them. I am wearing the medium and they run TTS.

Navy Tank Top: Same as Outfit #2. Wearing a medium
.
White Flip Flops: These are the same as Outfit #4 and #6 but just in the white color. Wearing a size 8, run TTS.

Outfit 8- Polka Dot Tank + White Jeans
What’s more summertime than white jeans and polka dots!? I am obsessed with this outfit.

Polka Dot Tank: I love this! Polka dots just make me so happy. This tank is a tiny bit cropped, which I love because it looks nice with all my high waist bottoms. The straps are adjustable with hidden buttons. I am wearing a size small, if you have a larger chest, I would suggest sizing up one.

Button Fly White Jeans: my favorite pair of white denim! They are so soft, don’t show cellulite and are not see through! I also love the raw hem on them! These run TTS, wearing a size 27 (note: this retailer runs large, so my normal TTS would be a 28, but my TTS for this retailer is a 27).

I ended up pairing this outfit with my white Tory Burch Millers (run TTS, own the 8- see outfit #9 for photo of them) and my Denim Jacket I spoke about in Outfit #3.

Outfit 9- Striped Tee + Utility Jacket I’ve been wearing this tee and jacket combo for weeks now, I’m obsessed! For work I have been paring it with jeans and mules.
Tan Utility Jacket: I am going to call this jacket “tan” but it’s really like a butterscotch (haha)! This jacket is so cute, I love the tied waist, it adds a little something to the standard utility jacket. Runs VERY large, I am wearing the xs, but could have also done the xxs.

Striped Tee: This is just me, in a tee shirt! I love the stripes and the color combo, it’s just fun! Runs a bit big, I normally wear a size small and am wearing the size xs.

Agolde Parker Denim Shorts: Same as Outfit #6. Wearing a size 27

Flower Earrings: These are just perfection. I’ve been wearing these on repeat.

As you can see, I couldn’t decide on shoes, I went with the espadrille sneakers (I have a full blog post on these, here) they run TTS, and I am wearing the size 8.

Outfit 10- Floral Shorts + Coral Tank
Anyone else obsessed with tropical prints?

Tropic Short: I just love these! They are so flattering and so light and comfy. They are perfect for hot days! Run TTS, wearing a medium.

Coral Tank Top: Love these. I wanted a loose fit, so I sized up to the medium.

I ended up pairing my denim jacket from Outfit #3 and #8 and the same gold flip flops from Outfit #4.

Outfit 11- Romper + Denim Jacket
This was one of my favorite outfits from last summer, so it was a must for me to pack! Again, with the tropical prints, I told you, I cannot get enough!

Romper: I bought this from Twigs last year and wore it almost weekly! It’s no longer sold, however, I will link you to this brand, because his stuff is always so cute this time of year. I am wearing a size small in the romper.

Denim Jacket: same as Outfit #3, #8, and #11. Such a good jacket, wearing the medium.

Vintage Vachetta Tory Burch Millers: My OG and probably still my favorite most worn pair. The color goes with everything! Run TTS, wearing a size 8

Other items I packed, but didn’t take any photos in:
White Tank + Daisy Sweatshirt With Denim Shorts: So sad I didn’t get a photo in this! It was just a comfy outfit I threw on after a day at the beach. We ended up eating at Nervous Nellie’s and checking out the shops in Fort Myers that night. The tank top is a staple in my closet (runs TTS, own the small) and the sweatshirt is so cute with the daisy print (also runs TTS, own the small). I paired the tops with my Agolde shorts (Seen in outfits #6 and #9).

And finally, the items I packed, love, but didn’t end up wearing, any other over packers out there?
Smocked Button Down Dress: So cute, runs a bit big, I own the small. Straps are adjustable.

Sweater Tank: Packed to wear if it was super warm at night! I’ve worn this layered under jackets sense we have been home. Runs TTS, I own the medium in the tan color.

Navy Dot Joggers: I packed these as a ‘just in ‘case’ outfit. I’ve worn these to work with the navy tank top I spoke about above, a navy cardigan, and loafers! These joggers run TTS, I own the medium.

Whew! Sorry for the long-winded post, I just got such positive feedback from you all on part 1 of this series with the swimwear, so I wanted to be as detailed as possible. I hope you all have a fabulous Easter, and if that’s not your jam, then I hope you have a terrific weekend. It’s supposed to be beautiful here this weekend, so I’m looking forward to being outside!

Xo,

Taylor
