Outfit Inspiration: Rust Cardigan

Happy Tuesday, friends! How was everyone’s weekend? I did a little shopping, spent time with family, and ate some yummy food, so I would say that’s a pretty great weekend! Can you believe it’s already October? I feel like September zoomed on by!

I wanted to kick off the first blog post of the month by giving you a little outfit inspiration by showcasing this rust cardigan! This rust color is always so hot for fall and is perfect for the month of October. I snagged this particular cardigan during this years Nordstrom Anniversary sale (I loved it so much I bought the teal blue color as well).

For this look, I paired my rust cardigan with my favorite white lace cami, my favorite high-waisted skinny jeans, my leopard mules, and for a little something extra I added my dainty pearl necklace.

What I love so much about this look is it’s so interchangeable. As you can see here. I’ve just switched my cardigan out for the blue one and threw on my favorite flip flops, and it’s a completely different look. The key to creating versatile outfits is to start with a simple base (jeans and a basic cami or tee), from there just add whatever layering piece you are feeling that day, a coordinating shoe, and complete the look with some jewelry.

Outfit details:

Cardigan: This rust cardigan is perfect, it is so cozy! It is a true rust color and runs big. I would say this runs TTS, however, you could go down one size as well.

Similar Cardigan: This is another great option, it comes in so many colors, including rust! 

Jeans: These are some of my favorite pairs of jeans, the button detail adds a little something, and the dark wash is so flattering. These run TTS.

White Cami: Such a great basic, for really all year long! The straps are adjustable as well. Runs TTS.

Leopard Mules: These leopard mules are by far the BEST! So comfortable and perfect for fall. These run a bit small, size up half size.
