Things I’m Loving Right Now

Sorry my blog posts have been so minimal this year- my last post was in April (gasp!) I’m sure like many of you, so many things such as trips, family events, and holidays have been canceled and I just truly have been sad, which has left me in a weird head-space to come on here and write. But today I thought it would be fun to catch up a little and share some (very random) products that I have purchased and have been loving recently- everything from running shoes to my favorite snacks.

On walk around Lake Monona with my family last week- I talk more about these shoes and my belt bag below.

Clothes + Accessories:

For much of the last few months, or the year it seems my wardrobe has consisted of Lululemon (or workout clothes in general) and sweatpants.

My Favorite Jogger Sweatpants: These are SO soft! I own every color now. They wash up very well and you cannot beat the price ($20!). These run true to size. I also snagged all the matching crew neck sweaters (these also run TTS and are the same material as the joggers)

**When the shutdown first happened, I panicked, and not for reasons you might think, but rather that I really didn’t have much lounge wear in my wardrobe. I know myself, and knew if I was going to be working from home for the foreseeable future, I needed something that was a.) comfortable but b.) got me out of my pajamas

The MOST Comfy Sweatpants: Yeah the price is a shock, but #WorthIt! I am a huge Barefoot Dreams fan, I don’t even know how to describe the fabric- it’s SO soft and cozy yet cooling (is that a thing?). They come in several colors and run true to size

My Summer Tote: This year has been odd, and truly I just wanted a bag that would go with everything, and this bag is that for me. I love how easy it is- it holds everything you need and is extremely comfortable to wear and the woven leather is even prettier in person.

THIS BRA: Mkay! This bra is amazing, I know that sounds dramatic… BUT! I have not bought a new REAL bra in over 5 years… gross I know, but I am picky. This bra feels like a sports bra but has the padding of an underwire. What I love is it doesn’t show through shirts, there is NO gaping, and its seamless. I will note, it runs true to size (I wear a 6/8 in sports bras at lulu and I bought this in a 6) also, the back is adjustable but the straps are not, and there is no actual underwire or push up component.

Workout Shoes:

I’ve really gotten more and more into running (mostly forced because the gyms closed) but even after I have gone back to our OTF studio I’ve kept up with running 4-5x a week. I plan to do a dedicated post for my favorite running / workout gear- clothes, shoes, etc.

These are the shoes I’ve been using for running, OTF, and other workouts.

After I am done with the bulk of my run, I come home and get Ruby, and take her for a mile jog, she loves it!

*Running shoes I ALWAYS order a .5 size larger than my normal size, so when I say true to size, I am saying they are my true running shoe size (example: normally and 8, all my running shoes are an 8.5)

New Balance 880’s: I use these for general wear and short runs- 5 miles or less. Soft footbed and a roomy toe box. True to size.

Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 37’s: I used these for my everyday runs (usually around 6 miles) and my Orangetheory classes. These are a bit narrow, so if you have a wider foot these might not work for you. Run true to size.

Saucony Endorphin Pro’s: These shoes are awesome. They are intended for races so I used these for my longer runs and speed training. They have a carbon foot plate, so they are extremely responsive. Run true to size

ON Cloudswift’s: These were my first pair of running shoes, I loved them so much I wore them into the ground. These are a bit more of a firm feel and run true to size.

ON Cloudstratus: I wanted to add a shoe that was high cushion for longer runs when my feet and legs felt tired, and these were the perfect fit! These have so much room for the foot but your foot isn’t flopping all over the place. Run true to size.

ON Cloudflyer’s: Me and my Mom have been walking A LOT lately so I wanted a shoe solely dedicated for outdoor walks, these have a slight cushion (somewhere between the swifts and the stratus) and run true to size.

Beauty:

Hydrating Lip Mask: I’ve been loving this! My lips peel all year long and this has completely saved them. It suggests you put this on at night before bed, but I’ve been putting it on when I’m getting ready for the day. It also smells amazing!

Tan-Luxe Face Serum: Our spring break trip was cancelled this year, I was sad about it for many reasons, but one of them being I wasn’t going to get to lay out in the sun and tan! These were amazing in the early spring to add just a subtle color to my face. It doesn’t have a sunless tanner scent at all, in fact it kind of smells like strawberries.

Billie Razor: I’ve debated signing up for the Billie razor membership for a long time, I was skeptical because of all the hype around it, so I decided to put a post up on my personal Facebook page and the responses were ALL good. I decided to give it a shot, I figured at $9 I didn’t have anything to lose… If you have been thinking about switching over to Billie, do it!

Randoms:

Mask Lipstick Protectors: Alex actually found these on Amazon and they have been a life saver! *Not getting political* In Madison we have a mask mandate, so at our OTF studio we have to wear a mask while working out, after a few sessions we found out a.) it’s very doable BUT b.) when the mask gets sweaty or you start breathing heavy (both of which are unavoidable at a HIIT class) that you start breathing in the fabric of the mask, which is a very unpleasant feeling. These clip right to the folds of your mask and keep the fabric away from your lips- GAME CHANGER.

Athletic Belt Bag: I’ve talked about this bag a lot over the years, but lulu recently has brought out a TON of new fun colors. I use this for running and walking mostly, but I’ve found its super convenient for running errands too.

Theragun: How did I live without this before? My Mom actually got the Pro model very early this year, and we’ve been hooked ever sense. After using her’s all the time I wanted one for my apartment, so opted for the mini, which is a less powerful (and cheaper) version, but in my opinion is just as great! As a runner who puts in quite a few miles each week, and mixes in HIIT workouts on a regular basis, it is safe to say that my legs sometimes take a beating. It is not uncommon for me to walk around with sore muscles on an almost constant basis. In fact, it has gotten to the point that I almost don’t notice anymore and have just learned to deal with it in day-to-day life. But, this has shown me that there are ways to help manage this pain and even prevent injury and soreness in the process. These can be used in three ways: to warm-up, to stay loose, and to recover after a workout. Cannot recommend enough!

Pro Version and ON Cloudswift sneakers

My Current Favorite Snack: I’d be robbing you all if I didn’t include these, if you haven’t tried them yet, go to the store now and pick up a bag. Thank me later.

The Nordstrom sale started yesterday, I have a lot of the items that are included, and a few new ones on my wish list- are you girls interested in seeing content on that? Let me know.

Xo,
