Let’s talk sneakers.
If you follow seasonal trends, you know that white sneakers have been hot for almost all seasons, spring especially. The best part is that you can wear them with just about anything, from jeans and a sweater to a feminine and flirty dress.
I have a few different pairs in my closet because they are such an easy go-to on days when I need to look pulled together but still need to be able to run around quite easily, and an elevated sneaker just makes any causal look feel super luxe.
On the WHAT sneaker type to pick – ANY and EVERY should sum it up. From high tops, low tops, chucks, kicks, thick soled, blinged – as long as they’re white, they’re perfect. My personal favorite White Sneakers are the Adidas, Veja, and Banana Republic. All of them are all minimalistic, have clean cuts and lines, and are all reasonably priced.

Most Budget Friendly Option
Adidas Sleek Leather Sneakers: You really cannot go wrong with these sneakers, they are extremely comfortable, have such a sleek and classic style to them, and come in SO many colors, and being $80, it’s a price point to try out the trend. These run slightly large, I would recommend sizing down a half size.
My Top Pick
Veja Esplar Sneaker: I love these shoes! Like the Adidas, they come in so many color options, I opted for the all-white for the sake of them being the most versatile, but I am already trying to decide what color I want for my next pair. One thing I want to note is these did have a breaking in period, the tongue was very stiff, but once I got them softened up (took about a week) they are SO comfy! Sizing is in EU, and I went with my true size 38 (women’s 8) and they fit perfectly.
“Dressiest” Option
Banana Republic Essential Leather Sneaker: These were my very first pair of white sneakers. I snagged them during a 40% off sale! They are extremely comfortable and have zero break in time. The leather on this sneaker does have a slight shine to them making them a bit dressier and would be perfect for casual Friday at the office. They also have a slight hidden wedge inside which elongates your leg and is super flattering. I went with my true size on these (women’s 8).
Socks: These are the ‘no-show’ socks I swear by!
How to Style?
The great thing about white sneakers? They’re a neutral color so they go with pretty much anything in your wardrobe and that includes all the colors of the rainbow. Really the options are endless, so today I am going to go through just a FEW ways I am styling them as we move into warmer weather. So for today’s blog I really am aiming to give you inspiration to pull from what you already have hanging in your closet!
Sorry for the low quality mirror pictures, I will update as I get better photos of each look, its just so cold and snowy here right now!
With Your Favorite Skinny Jeans
I love statement or colorful sweaters paired with white sneakers because they bring a fun pop of color to a simple and classic outfit. Choose literally any fun sweater you have, throw on a pair of skinny jeans, grab a cute crossbody bag and you’re set! You can also not go wrong with denim and a white tee- an instant classic.

Mid-Rise Jeans: My current favorite! Run true to size- wearing a 25
Green Sweater: Love this mint color for Spring, runs slightly big, but I like the over-sized look, I am wearing an x-small. Comes in a beautiful pink color too!
Periwinkle Sweater: This sweater is honestly a MUST as we head into warmer temps. The fabric is so soft yet has some structure to it so you can really dress it up or down. Athleta seems to run big, so I got my true size for them, an x-small.
White Tee: Another recent favorite! Runs true to size as well, I have the small on. A more affordable white tee option (I own two of them because I wear them so often) is this one! Runs TTS.
Elevate An Athleisure Look
Wear your workout clothes and add in casual pieces (half casual, half athletic) – This takes those comfy workout pieces and mixes them with your favorite casual pieces. Think leather jacket, denim jacket, puffer vest, sunglasses, baseball cap, beanie, handbag, etc. This happens to be my favorite way to wear the athleisure trend. You’re comfortable, but you can elevate your look with whatever you have in your closet.

Black Joggers: the perfect weekend pant. If you love the Align Leggings, you need these! I got my true Lululemon pant size, a 6. These come in SO many colors too!
White Tee: Runs TTS- I have the small on. A more affordable white tee option (I own two of them because I wear them so often) is this one! Runs TTS.
Go Monochromatic
I love an all-white outfit; it looks so fresh and modern. White sneakers = the chance for all white everything, which makes even the most casual of outfits look 10x more chic. Whether you go the athletic or snappy casual route, a pair of white jeans, a textured white sweater or a hoodie, a neutral bag and your favorite pair of white sneaks is a no brainer.

White Denim Jeans: These are the exact same style as the medium wash I talked about earlier… when you love something, buy it in all the colors, right?! I have been hunting for a flattering pair of white denim for A WHILE (so hard!) and I LOVE these, they are not see-through and are in-between a mid and high rise making them super flattering. I got my true size, a 25.
White Tee: Runs TTS- I have the small on. A more affordable white tee option (I own two of them because I wear them so often) is this one! Runs TTS.
Denim Jacket: Such a classic wash! I love this jacket because it goes with EVERYTHING. From dresses to athleisure looks. Runs true to size, I have the small on.
Jazz Up Denim shorts
Fancy on top, casual on the bottom! Shorts and sneakers can feel really casual and boyish/childish, so mix in some feminine details to balance it all out and fit your personal style. I went with this black puff sleeved tee from Tuckernuck and my AGOLDE Denim shorts.

Denim Shorts: The holy grail of denim shorts, might sound dramatic, but it’s the truth! They are 100% worth the money in my book. I have a full blog post on them (here) if you are interested. The sizing reviews are very polarized, so I would suggest ordering two sizes. I know these are $$$, so here is an AMAZING dupe, they look, feel, and fit VERY similar.
Puff Sleeve Top: I think the shirt speaks for a itself. It’s a fun twist on a classic black tee. The material is extremely soft, has a slightly cropped fit, and is an easy way to dress up shorts or jeans. I got my true size small. I am debating getting the white too…
Dress Down Dresses
A simple dress is an easy outfit option when you’re having a wardrobe dilemma. A knitted or t-shirt dress works well with a pair of perfectly white sneakers and has a relaxed elegance about it.
Skirts For Work To The Weekend
A long midi skirt can be quite dressy and perfect for a day at the office but once the weekend comes around, they can worn with sneakers it can easily become a great casual (and comfy) look.
Links: I will be styling sneakers with dresses and skirts as we move more into Spring, but here are a few items I am LOVING right now.
Leopard Midi Slip Skirt: Leopard is IN for spring and this skirt is SO cute. If leopard isn’t your thing it comes in a BEAUTIFUL floral print. Paired with a white tee (or the puff sleeved tee I shared earlier), sneakers, and some fun jewelry would make a super cute causal office or date night look.
Tiered Mini Skirt: This skirt calls for the puff sleeve tee I mentioned earlier! Paired with a denim or leather jacket (cue all the heart eyes!)
Striped Shirt Dress: This look is such a classic! Perfect for work or weekend! This brand is also extremely comfortable and know for being so so soft. I am actually packing a very similar dress for vacation.
Are you loving the sneaker trend right now? Oh and can you believe that we are more than halfway through February? Crazy but that means we are getting closer to Spring. My family and I are headed on a ‘Spring Break’ trip in a few weeks and I can hardly wait to pack away my Winter looks and trade them for colorful Spring outfits!
Xo,
