Hi there!
It’s the Holiday season and with that comes dressing for the Holidays. Our family get-togethers are all pretty causal, but I do still like to add a little something extra this time of year. I like my outfits to be casual, simple, comfortable, yet still chic!
This season I found myself gravitating towards plaid (duh, always!) and sequins and to me both just scream HOLIDAYS!
For each section I will provide the item I chose as well as few different options (with links) as well as sizing info! Note: Links for the items in each photo will be under ‘Outfit Idea’
Play With Plaid

The one print you can find all over the place this time of year. This is the plaid shirt I picked up for this season- it runs TTS (wearing a size 4). It’s hard to tell in photos but it has gold stripes mixed in with the plaid print and the buttons are gold giving that little something extra.
Here are some other plaid shirt options I found:
Option 1: Bold Holiday Plaid Shirt
Option 2: White Plaid Shirt (Perfect Legging Option)
Option 3: Buffalo Plaid Shirt
Outfit Idea: Plaid shirt, dark wash denim jeans, and booties– or mules– depending on weather! You can layer a cardigan or a sweater over the shirt for added dimension and warmth.
Sparkle with Sequins

You can never say no to glitter and sequins this time of year! It’s instantly festive and easy to dress up or down for any occasion! I did an entire post on sequins- you can read it here. This year I picked up this sequin skirt! It’s so fun, the waist band is stretchy so its super comfy, and I love the golden silver color! The skirt runs TTS (I am wearing the x-small).
Here are some other sequin options I found:
Option 1: Another Sequin Skirt (Comes in three colors!)
Option 2: Sequin Top (It took everything in me not to buy this- runs TTS)
Option 3: Sequin Blazer (Would be so cute for a work holiday event!)
Outfit Idea: Sequin skirt, cozy cropped sweater, and booties (or heels).
The Classic Red Sweater

If you don’t already own a red (or green) sweater in your closet, no worries! This one is amazing, so soft, and the neckline is very flattering! It runs TTS (wearing a small petite)
It is a little pricy so here are some other great red sweater options:
Option 1: Chunky Red Sweater
Option 2: Turtle Neck
Option 3: Green Sweater
Outfit Idea: Red sweater, with skinny jeans or leggings, pair with a boot or a fun loafer (or flat). You could also layer over a plaid blouse.
Bling Sweater

This sweater is going to keep you warm, cozy, and add some texture to your look! I love the pearl accents because it instantly glams the look up without any added effort! The best part is its under $40!
Here are some other great bling-y sweaters:
Option 1: ‘Necklace’ Sweater
Option 2: Pearlized Black Sweater
Option 3: Gemstone Sweater (Love this one! Would look awesome with the sequin options I shared earlier!)
Outfit Idea: Pearl sweater with jeans and booties. Finish the look with a pearl earring to tie everything together.
Make a Statement with Shoes

Shoes are my favorite thing to buy because they can instantly complete your outfit. I fell in love with these shoes the moment I saw them- if you are plaid obsessed, they are a must! They run TTS- wearing a size 8. I love adding a fun shoe into my seasonal wardrobe because it’s an easy way to elevate an outfit without jewelry and hair accessories.
Here are some other fun festive shoes I found:
Option 1: Plaid Heel
Option 2: Glitter Sneaker
Outfit Idea: Plaid loafers paired with a red (or green) sweater and dark skinny jeans.
Go Graphic

I am a sucker for a cutesy graphic tee or sweater this time of year! These are a fun casual way to be festive! I snagged this “merry’ sweatshirt a few weeks ago in preparation for the holidays (It runs a tiny bit fitted- I own the small). Me and my Mom wore this on Black Friday and I plan to wear it to work, running errands, and on Christmas Day.
Here are some other great graphic options I found:
Option 1: ‘Merry’ Tee Shirt
Option 2: Plaid ‘Merry Merry Merry’ Sweatshirt
Outfit Idea: Green Merry Sweatshirt paired with jeans and a plaid shoe for a pop of print! Would be very fun to add a festive earring or ring.
Shine with Metallics

Metallic is having a moment right now and I am here for it! This jacket is a fun way to add some extra shine into any outfit. I love that it can be worn dressed up or with a casually with a comfy sweater.
Here are some other metallic pieces I found:
Option 1: Metallic Fleck Sweater
Option 2: Metallic Striped Jeans (In love with these!)
Outfit Idea: Metallic jacket layered over a cream funnel neck sweater paired with jeans and black booties.
Accessorize
Adding jewelry, hair accessories, or a cute bag are an easy way to add extra sparkle and make an outfit more festive!
Here are some accessories I have been loving this season:
Option 1: Bow Scrunchie
Option 2: Plaid Headband
Option 3: Pearl Hoop Earrings
Option 4: Pearl and Rhinestone Bobbi Pins
Option 5: Plaid Crossbody Bag
Option 6: Red Lace Nordic Boots
It can feel stressful trying to figure out what to wear all while making sure you look somewhat festive. Whether you’re going to be spending time with family, friends, or taking pictures you can easily shop your closet, look fab, and be stress-FREE! Do you have any more ideas on how to dress simply for the Holidays? The best part is you can easily pair the items I’ve mentioned together to create the perfect Holiday outfit for YOU! And if you need help figuring out what to wear this time of year, don’t hesitate to ask.
Xo,
