Happy Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! For those of you that don’t know, this is the BIGGEST sale of the year, and one that gets a lot of ‘hype’ —and for good reason, its brand new fall items on major sale for a short period of time- and public access starts on Friday (7/19)! Today I’m answering a few questions and sharing what I bought from the sale, what I’m keeping and returning, and items I’ve bought in years past that are included in this year’s sale!
To start, what is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (sometimes known as the #NSale on social media) is when Nordstrom releases brand-new fall merchandise at seriously discounted prices. We’re not just talking any old fall merchandise, though… all of the designers team up to offer exclusive items. I’m talking Tory Burch riding boots, Kendra Scott jewelry, designer jeans, Rebecca Minkoff handbags, Hunter Boots, etc. The prices are always insane and some items are marked down by several hundred dollars. What makes this sale different from the rest is, items start out on sale and when the Anniversary sale is over, the prices go back up! Think of it as ‘buy now, wear later’.
When can you shop?
If you are a Nordstrom card holder (debit or credit) you can shop now! If not, no worries, public access starts on Friday July 19th. After August 5th, prices go back up!
For past anniversary sales, I’ve always driven to a Nordstrom (we don’t have one near me), and that’s because I like to try stuff on and have had great success doing so! But this year, between work meetings and other commitments, it just wasn’t going to work, so I ordered all my ‘wants’ online!
Let’s get into the fun stuff, what I ordered! For each item, I will share my sizing and quality review, prices during and after sale, if I decided to keep or return the item (and why), and a low quality mirror selfie to see the item “in real life”.
**Because I ordered everything online, not everything has been delivered to me yet! So, I will continue to update with sizing, quality, and if I decided to keep the item or not! So, watch for updates 😊**

1. Free People Softly Structured Knit Tunic
Cannot wait to wear this with my Spanx leather leggings and some boots! I got the Terracotta color. It also comes in a pretty teal, cream, red, and black.
Sizing: I sized down to an x-small, and it still had a slouchy look (which I wanted), I am also going to try to get the cream color in a medium and wear it as a sweater dress!
Quality: The knit fabric is really soft and seems to be really well made!
Price: $98.90, after sale $148 (TBH, I’d pay full price for it too, super cute and exactly what I reach for come fall and winter)
Kept or Returned: Keeping for sure! Such a good staple for me in the colder months.
2. Kenneth Cole New York Knit Sleeve Coat
I saw this coat on a few people last year and regretted not getting it! It’s beautiful! I got the color, Vicunna, which is a pretty burnt orange color. Also comes in gray and black.
Sizing: I got my true size, and it fits perfectly with room for layering.
Quality: The wool is VERY nice, thick without being to heavy in weight. The sleeves have a thick ribbing texture, which adds such a pretty detail.
Price: $149.90, after sale $240
Kept or Returned: Keeping!
I saw this on Natasha (@nashvilletash) and knew I needed it! Rag & bone is one of my favorite brands and is known for classic items with a trendy twist.
Sizing: I got my true size in hats, medium.
Quality: Everything I own from Rag & Bone is LEGIT, honestly, they are my favorite items in my closet, and this hat is no exception. It’s beautiful!
Price: $166, after sale $250
Kept or Returned: Keeping! Photos don’t do the hat justice, it’s beautiful and such a good neutral color.
4. Halogen Leopard Long Cardigan
I have two cardigan brands in my closet, Madewell Ryder, and these! I stocked up on some great solid colors last year, and they wore so well! So when I saw these in the sale, I snatched them up for both my Mom and me! (Update: I ended up purchasing another solid color after publishing the post, I got the burgundy field color-linked, here)
Sizing: Will update once I get this (the shipping is taking FOREVER), but the solid colors run TTS, they are long, so for some I got the petite size and some the regular, they really don’t have a big difference between them.
UPDATE: They came! I’m obsessed, the sizing and quality is the same as the solid colors. My favorite cardigans in the sale! HIGHLY recommend getting one during the sale.
Quality: Will update, but the solid colors have been a weekly staple for me sense I purchased them in last year’s sale. I cannot recommend them enough, for both work and weekend wear!
Price: $49.90, after sale $79.90
Kept or Returned: I think you know the answer, keeping both the leopard and solid burgundy color.
5. Madewell Ryder Stripe Cardigan
Sadly this order was cancelled on me due to lack of inventory! I might to try to snag it during public access, but will see! I do however, own these in a ton of colors, but I still want to provide sizing and my review as Madewell always has a version of this cardigan all year long.
Sizing: These run big, I’d suggest sizing down in any Ryder cardigan. I own them in xxs and xs.
Quality: Its Madewell, they are amazing! These are my #1 cardigan always, I pick up a new color every season and wear them all year long.
Price: $64.90, after sale $98.00 (they also make a ‘Summer’ Ryder cardigan, which is $45.90, after sale $69.50) These TBH are worth the full price as well, they are AMAZING.
6. Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Socks- 2 pack
These are my favorite fuzzy socks, so every sale, I stock up! So soft and cozy. This year I got the pink/white pack.
Price: $19.90, after sale $30
Kept or Returned: 100% keep, a staple for me all year long.

I ordered this for my Mom! What we love about this is the ribbing adds just a little texture to what would normally be a plain tee. A great basic!
Sizing:This seems to run on the small side. It’s more of a fitted style, I would suggest sizing up at least one.
Quality: The ribbing detail adds a little something extra to an otherwise basic tee. The white is a little see though, so something to think about.
Price: $18.90, after sale $29
Kept or Returned: My Mom decided against keeping it, but I think I might keep the one she ordered and use it for layering in the Winter.
8. Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw
I’ve been wanting one of these blankets for about a year now, so going into the sale, I knew I wanted to snag one. I ended up going with the Antique Rose color but it comes in a bunch of other colors!
Quality: AMAZING! It feels just like the comfy cardigans I love! I wish I hadn’t waited to long to buy! My puppy, Paisley, loves it too!
Price: $98.90, after sale $147
Kept or Returned: Keeping and debating if I need another… (update, I did, I ordered the cream, they are to good not to have two!)
9. Alo Airbrush High Waist Leggings
So I have been wanting to try this particular pair of leggings for a while, and the sale was the perfect time to pull the trigger! I love the shiny effect the fabric has!
Sizing: Run true to size
Quality: The quality of these leggings is great! However, I am a big fan of the Lululemon aligns and these were just a bit too thick for my liking, if you are Lululemon Wonder under fan, you will love these!
Price: $54.90, after sale $118
Kept or Returned: Returning these because I love my Lululemon Aligns more!
10. FRAME Ali Leopard High Waist Skinny Jean
I saw these on @cmcoving and I died, they are THE cutest pair of leopard jeans I’ve ever seen. I have also been wanting to try out FRAME Denim, so this was the perfect opportunity.
Sizing: I ordered my true size, 27, and they fit great! However, I did end up ordering a 26 to compare as they do have some stretch to them! I will update on which size I decide to keep. My advice, go with your true size, but if you are in between, size down.
Quality: Amazing! These pants are soft and comfortable, the fabric is sturdy but flexible so it holds you in in all the right places! The length is perfect on these, I am 5’ 3” and they hit me right at my ankle.
Price: $149.90, after sale $225
Kept or Returned: 110% keeping, probably my favorite item from the sale!
11. Vince Camuto Nestel Knee High Boot
These were my Mom’s boot pick from the sale, and I am half tempted to order them for myself She ordered the tan color, they also come in snake skin and black.
Sizing: My Mom ordered her true boot size, and fit her perfectly!
Quality: They are SUPER comfy, the heel is not too high and the quality of the suede is amazing!
Price: $159.90, after sale $239.95
Kept or Returned: My Mom is definitely keeping these, she loved them!
(UPDATE: I did order a pair for myself, hehe! Got my true boot size, 8.5, as you can see in the photos, they hit above my knee, so if you are 5’3” or shorter they will fit more like a OTK boot vs hitting right at the knee)
12. Tory Burch Everly Knee High Boot
Going into the sale, these and the leopard FRAME jeans were the items I was most excited for and snagged first. I’ve been wanting a brown (they also come in black) pair of TB boots for a long time!
Sizing: I ordered my true boot size (which is .5 bigger than my standard true size) and they fit perfectly! One thing to note if you have a wider foot, this boot probably won’t be very comfortable for you, as they run a little narrow. They are a true riding boot style, hitting right below the knee.
Quality: Typical of Tory Burch quality, awesome! The leather smells so good- anyone else love that smell?
Price: $299.90, after sale $498
Kept or Returned: KEEPING! I love the low heal, and I am always reaching for riding boots in the fall/winter because it’s an easy way to dress up leggings and a sweater while still remaining comfy and warm.
13. Steve Madden Feather Studded Loafer
HOLY COW! Are these not the cutest loafers you have ever seen? Ended up ordering these for me, my sister, and my Mom! We got the gray, mustard, and snakeskin. They also come in black.
Sizing: We all ordered our true size, My Mom and me both wear a size 8, and my sister, a 9. They seem to fit both narrow and wider feet.
Quality: I love these! They are super comfy! They are suede, so I will waterproof them to prevent stains.
Price: $59.90, after sale $89.95
Kept or Returned: KEEPING.
These next few items I purchased in last year’s sale (and are back again!) that I wear ALL the time!
14. Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Lite Circle Cardigan
These are the softest cardigans, probably, ever! They are so light weight, but oh so cozy! I bought two colors (graphite and stone) last year during the sale, they are that good!
Sizing: I got my true size!
Quality: After a year of wearing these, they have worn and washed so well! Very high quality. I’d recommend washing on delicate and lay flat to dry.
Price: $76.90, after sale $116.00
15. Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Cardigan
I wear these 24/7 when I am at home, they are awesome to lounge in, and the fabric is like a hug, so soft, warm, and comfy! I also own these in two colors (rosewood and graphite). My mom and sister also own them and wear them all the time! Highly recommend picking one of these up.
Sizing: These run big, the s/m size should fit most.
Quality: For as much as I wear these, you would think they were still new! They wash up really well and stay fluffy. Wash on delicate, line dry.

16. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings (wearing in #1)
If you followed me last fall/winter, you know my obsession for these runs deep. They add an elevated look to any outfit you would normally wear leggings with. I picked up a backup pair again this year too!
Sizing: OKAY! So here is the deal, these run TTS if you are looking for some ‘compression/sucking in’, personally I sized up and they fit like a glove without being to lose or too tight.
Quality: SO GOOD! I wore these several times a week through the fall and winter and they still look AMAZING! Wash INSIDE OUT on delicate.
Pricing: $64.90, after sale $98.00

17. Nordstrom at Home Kennebunk Bliss Plush Throw
These are amazing! They come in so many colors, I own several that hang on a blanket tree for guests to use!
Price: $25.90, after sale $39.50
