Hello! Happy Tuesday! I’ve got a busy week ahead (which is how I like it, I hate sitting around), it’s my Dads Birthday, and I’m in the process of getting ready for our trip next week, so for today’s post I wanted to share my travel essentials as well as items that are a must for any beach getaway!

Travel Must Haves: These items keep me organized, entertained, and comfortable no matter what my destination is!
Packing Cubes: These are a must for me. I’ve used them in my checked suitcase for a while now, but I think I am going to use another set for my carry on for my trip next week too. They just keep everything so organized and make it so easy to find things. I also found that my clothes are far less wrinkled and have less fold creases. I love these ones and these ones. Both options are under $30!
Portable Charger: Travel days can get long so I rely on my phone, iPad, and MacBook to keep me entertained. So, a portable charger is a must. I’ve had this one for several years, it’s nice because it works with any device, you just use your normal charger and plug the USB into the portable charger! it’s held up so well, highly recommend it!
Comfy Leggings: When I am traveling and living that #Airport life, comfort is key. When I am traveling for leisure, these leggings are my go-to (lets be honest, these are my go-to leggings for anything, literally the best, ever!) For this trip, we are headed somewhere warm, so I will throw a pair of shorts in my tote and put them on when we arrive to our destination.
Headphones: Music and Netflix are what get me through long flights, so headphones are always in my purse or tote. The Apple AirPods are my personal favorite.
Tote Bag or Backpack: I usually fly with a small backpack. But I got this tote bag for Christmas, so I am going to use that for this trip (I’ll let you all know if it worked well for travel). I usually put my iPad, wallet, snacks, chargers, change of clothes, fuzzy socks, and things like that in this bag. I love this backpack option too.
Cozy Layers: I always travel in layers, mostly because we are coming from WI (where it’s usually cold during SB time), but I also am always cold and find that airplanes tend to be freezing. Cannot go wrong with this cardigan. It’s one of my favorites, so comfy and cozy!
Fuzzy Socks: We are headed somewhere warm for this trip, so I will probably wear a sandal to the airport, like my Birkenstocks. So I always toss a pair of socks in my tote or backpack and slip them on for the plane ride. These are my favorite.
Checked and Carry-On Suitcases: I always do a checked and carry-on bag. IDK how people manage to only do a carry on?! Like how do you get all your liquids? And clothes? That is one thing I will never be able to do/understand how people do it. This is my checked suitcase, and this is my carry on. I love them both!
Make-Up Travel Case: I don’t pack a lot of make-up for beach trips, but I still need something to keep all of my make-up/products secure and organized. The bag I use is no longer available in the palm print. But this is the same bag, just a different pattern (still super cute)
Snacks & Gum: Because Duh. Haha!

Beach Must Haves: Headed to the beach? Sharing all my beach getaway must haves.
Sun Hat: I love these because they give my face a nice break from the sun and also help hide my messy beach hair when bopping into a shop or restaurant. This one and this one are my favorites.
Sunscreen & Aloe Lotion: Sunscreen is a must for any tropical vacation. I don’t burn that easily, so I use SPF 15 and 30. This is my favorite body sunscreen. For my face I use SPF 45, and this one is the only sunscreen I’ll use on my face. After a day at the beach my skin can feel ‘tired’ I love mixing this with my daily lotion. It feels so cool and moisturizing on the skin.
Waterproof Phone Bag: So I bought this not to use it in the water, although the photos in the reviews say it works really well, I don’t trust it. I got this to keep sand out of my phone! The nice thing about this one is my home button and screen still work 100%!
Go-Pro Camera: I love my Go-Pro! It’s so fun to take into/under water and on the boat! They are super simple to use and you can capture some amazing shots and videos.
Large Beach Bag: I like to throw everything into one bag, so a large beach bag is a must for me. My towel, SPF, hat, camera, you name it, goes in this bag. I had a Vera Bradly beach bag for years, and I love it. But I recently got this one and I love the straw fabric. I am also loving this palm one.
Sunglasses: A solid pair of sunglasses is a no brainer! But I usually will pack two pairs, a polarized and non-polarized pair. I bring the polarized pair to the beach and use the non-polarized pair for driving/walking around town. I am loving this pair right now.
Anti-Frizz Hair Care: I have thick and curly hair. So long days at the beach frizz is inevitable. I use this hair oil and this hair cream after I’ve showered and cleaned off. Keeps my curls looking curly and helps keep the frizz under control.
Beach Sandals: I normally am one to invest in shoes but for beach sandals I want them to be comfortable and cheap because they get all gross and dirty. These ones are my favorite pool and beach sandals. They run TTS and come in so many colors.
Swimsuits & Cover-Ups: Another duh! Cannot wait to show you ladies the suits and cover up’s I am packing for my trip. Look for a blog post in April where I round all of them up. For now though, my favorite swim brands are L*Space, Flagpole, Aerie, Beach Riot, and Maaji.
Hand Wipes: This is kind of a weird one. But we always pack snacks and drinks to take down to the beach. These are perfect for wiping the sand and salt water off your hands before you eat. They come in individual wrappers so you can throw them in your beach bag or your cooler.
That’s all for now! I am getting more and more excited to head south for SB. It’s been such a cold winter here in WI. At least this week is supposed to be warmer- Thursday is going to be almost 60! Yay! Anyways, talk to you ladies later!
Xo,
