Hi Friends!
We made it to Thursday, so we are on the homestretch to the weekend! Yay! I know a lot of you, like myself, are getting ready to head out on Spring Break trips so I am keeping with the Spring theme and sharing my recent spring accessories purchases. All of the items I am going to share would be perfect to dress up or down, wear on your beach vacation or to carry you through the Summer months. But first, let’s talk trends… for this season simple outfits are in and using your accessories to make them POP, think denim shorts basic tops, but adding a fun shoe, layering piece (like a blazer or jacket) and accessories to make it special.
Bags- this season you will see a lot of straw/woven materials as well as textured leathers, and mixing mediums.
Canvas/Leather Tote: I love this bag! I’ve been holding out for a very ‘particular’ bag. I had money set aside for about a year for when the perfect bag came out. It’s a mix of canvas and leather, which is so different, it has a removable cross body strap and shoulder strap. The cross-body strap is tan leather and the shoulder strap is a really fun stripe. It has amazing storage and compartments which I love because then my all of my stuff stays in place and doesn’t end up looking like an endless pit of mess. Speaking of endless pits, I was in need of a new work bag, and Tory Burch was running their surprise sale last week and I was able to snag one of the Ella Totes for like 70% off!! It looks just like this one.
Straw Bucket Bag: This bag is so fun! I love the light washed straw material, the circle handles, and its super lightweight. It is also lined and has a clasp closure! It’s super cute alone but I also love adding a fun bandana or scarf to add a little something extra to it! It also comes in black! This will definitely be coming with me on SB!
Beach Tote: A roomy beach/pool bag is a must for spring break and the summer months. I love how roomy it is and the leather shoulder strap is really comfortable and stays put. This bag is also lined and has a snap closure. I am also loving this one!!
Tortoise Strap Straw Bag: my obsession with this bag is real. I’m in love with both straw and tortoise, so when you combine the two, its perfection. This bag fits perfectly on your shoulder, is super lightweight and actually can hold quite a bit of stuff. I can fit my phone, wallet, sunglasses, and keys in this bag with no issue. White Cross Body: I actually owned this bag in black first! I wore it all the time throughout the Fall. It’s the perfect size and I just love the leather and tortoise handle combo, so chic! My parents got me the white version for Christmas and I’m OBSESSED. It’s a true bright white and it just screams warm weather. This will also be making its way into my suitcase for our trip, it’s lightweight, can be worn crossbody or on the arm, and holds all my things, making it perfect for travel.
Pineapple Cross Body: If you know me then you know that I’ve got a love for anything pineapple. I actually stumbled upon this on Revolves sale section a few months ago so it’s not on sale anymore, however, I think it is still so cute and worth the full price. They also carry so many cute swim cover-ups, I own this one in black and white!
Palm Print Clutch: How fun is this print? My sister got this for me as a gift, she knows me so well! What I love about this clutch is it is actually really versatile. It can be used as a clutch for a night out or dinner but could also be used to store odds and ends in a large tote bag!
Hats- Hats always seem to be ‘in’ for spring or summer and for good reason, they elevate any look while protecting your scalp and face from the sun.
Scalloped Edge Sun Hat (1): I am going to note first, this hat is crazy expensive, I would never pay this much for a hat. I got it on sale (on accident, if I might add, thanks for honoring the price Nordstrom). However, I will note, this hat’s quality is unlike any other hat. It’s truly stunning in person and feels amazing on the head. I did notice, they do carry this brand at Nordstrom Rack, so if you have been eyeing one of these hats, look there!
Light Wash Straw Sun Hat (2): I love this hat, like so much! I love all the texture that the woven straw gives the hat, the fit is amazing (I am wearing the medium), and it’s extremely light so it’s really comfortable to wear. Stock goes in and out; you can also find it here. They just came out with this same hat in a lilac/pinky color and I ordered it yesterday, I cannot wait to get that in the mail!
The Perfect Ultra-Affordable Sun Hat (3): EVERY GRIL NEEDS THIS HAT. I repeat EVERY GIRL. Back in December, when I was already dreaming of Spring, I ordered this hat for our trip knowing I wanted something specifically for the beach. Once it arrived, I quickly convinced my Mom and sister that they too needed one. I own it in the brown and the khaki color. It’s under $20 and you literally cannot beat it for the price, quality, and look/feel. Love!
Jewelry + Other Accessories- This season you will see a lot of statement earrings, gold accents, and hair accessories! These are such a fun way to mix up any outfit, or take it from day to night.
Flower Hoop Earrings (1): I love how fun and simple these are! Very lightweight and a true gold finish.
Straw Earrings (2): I’m obsessed with these. Light straw material with gold stud base. Lightweight and will be so cute with Spring and Summer clothes.
Modern Boho Earring (3): I got these for a very specific outfit. I cannot wait to show you guys during my trip! I love the wood, metal, and blush color combo.
Turquoise Earring (4): These earrings are a must. The color is truly so stunning, reminds me of the ocean!
Peach Dangle Earring (5): These are a bit different that something I normally would go for, but when I tried them on in store I just knew I needed them. They are really lightweight, I was almost shocked because they really feel like you have nothing on. They also come in a stunning blue color.
Rose Gold Ring Set (6): I got these as a Valentine’s Day gift from my parents! I love these rings, the rose gold coppery color looks so great on any skin tone, I especially love it with a bit of a tan. This set comes with two skinny bands and one thicker. The skinny bands are really shinny and the thicker band is a pounded metal finish. I love how they feel on the hands, so comfortable, and feel like nothing is on your fingers!
Beachy Scarves/Hair Bow Set: My Mom and I preordered these and waited and waited for them to come! They came in a few weeks ago and I love them (because Pineapples, duh!) What I love about these is you can keep them tied around the scrunchie and use them in your hair or untie them and add them to a bag or belt loop!
Sunglasses: These have been my go-to sunglasses lately! I love the rose gold finish on them! I also keep these in my purse and love them too!
Jewelry Box: Love this so much! I wanted something with a clear top so I can see what I have. It also has to large drawers with great storage. If you are like me and forget about what you have because all of your jewelry is in boxes or bags, then you need this! I have the large size, but they also have a smaller size, here.
