Tartan Plaid: Festive Looks For the Holidays

Hi babes!

Happy Thanksgiving week! I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is just a few days away and with Christmas quickly approaching I wanted to show you ladies some casual yet fun and festive looks that all use my favorite pattern of the season… TARTAN PLAID! I cannot express to you my love for this pattern, it just makes me so happy! These looks would be great for causal workplaces, weekend wear, holiday parties, or maybe even Black Friday shopping!

Tartan Plaid Vest:
I scored this vest this time last year, and I am so glad that I did, it’s such a great piece! The vest is not puffy at all giving it more of a dressy feel. The edges are lined with a black velvet piping.

For a daytime/work: I paired the vest with a basic black tee, medium washed denim, and a cute pair of black booties! So cute for a festive look at the office!

For weekend/causal: For the perfect Black Friday shopping look, pair this vest with a cute oversized sweater, a pair of your favorite black leggings, and a cute sneaker.

For nighttime/party: For an adorable holiday party look pair this vest with a nice red or black blouse, black mini skirt, a pair of tights, and the same black booties!

Outfit Details:

Jeans: Run TTS, however I size down in this retailers jeans because they do stretch over time.
Black Booties: Run TTS.
Plaid Vest: I can’t link this (So sad!) This is from last year, I am really hoping they bring it back this holiday season!
Black Long Sleeve: A staple in my fall/winter wardrobe! Runs TTS.
Necklace: A longtime favorite of mine! These make great gifts for the holidays!

Tartan Plaid Shirt:
This shirt is amazing, it’s so soft and comfortable, so flattering, looks great with denim and leggings, and the price is SO good (it’s 40% off through tonight!). When I saw this in store a month or so ago, I immediately grabbed it (because plaid obsessed!) and I’ve been waiting weeks to wear it, and I’m so glad that time has finally come!

For daytime/work: I paired this shirt with a medium wash pair of denim, black booties, and a fun bag! Toss a black blazer on for a cheerful work wear look!

For weekend/casual: I paired this shirt with my favorite faux leather leggings and my go-to black slip on sneakers. This would be so great for Black Friday shopping or just running errands around town!

For nighttime/party: For a chic nighttime look, I would pair this tartan plaid shirt with a great pair of skinny jeans (either dark denim or black) with a patent leather pair of heels and a fun clutch!

Tartan Plaid Scarves:
Need I say more? I think these scarves speak for themselves. They are SO soft and not bulky like normal blanket scarves! I loved it so much I had to get it in both the red and the white! The options for these are really endless because they really could be thrown over any cute sweater or vest that you already have in your wardrobe.

For daytime/work: I paired the red tartan plaid scarf with a basic open front cardigan, white tee, a pair of jeans, band lack booties. Mix and match this scarf with your favorite cardigans and sweaters to change up the look!

For weekend/casual: I paired the white version of this scarf, with a red tunic, my go-to leather leggings, a simple black puffer vest, and my favorite black sneakers. Such a cute look for holiday shopping!

For nighttime/party: For a girly party look, I would pair this scarf with a black swing dress, a red flat or heel, and a fun earring!

To be honest, I could keep buying tartan plaid and wear it every day during the month of December, but I think my friends and family would dis-own me!
