Affordable Thanksgiving Day Looks

Hi lovelies!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I sure did, I kind of did a bunch of random things, went to the movies, did some shopping, and got a few of my Christmas decorations up! I saw Bohemian Rhapsody and it was SO good! I highly recommend it if you are a Queen fan!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is next Thursday? It came up so quickly! Bring on all the mashed potatoes! My family does a thanksgiving lunch and then we do some black Friday shopping the next morning, I’m so excited! So, for today’s post, I wanted it to be centered around Thanksgiving Day looks! Now keep in mind, my family keeps it causal for the holiday, so all of these outfit ideas are going to be just that, causal! One thing to also keep in mind, is I live in the mid-west, so it’s always FREEZING on Thanksgiving, so all these outfits will be warmer options. I also kept most of the pieces budget friendly, and to be honest, you probably have a similar piece already in your closet, so use this more as an “inspiration” post!

Leopard Print Looks:
Leopard has been the print of the fall season and for good reason, it’s a fun pop of pattern while remaining in the neutral color family, making it super versatile!
For these looks I am wearing this sweater three ways! This sweater is SO affordable and so comfortable while still being on-trend and cute.

By Itself
This sweater has enough coloring and pattern to be worn alone and still look put together and polished! I paired it with my favorite jeans, black leather mules, and a fun earring!

Paired With a Black Vest
This is the same look as above, but I just added a simple black vest. If you are anything like me, you throw a layer over everything, I love vests because they not only add additional warmth, but they add depth to a look by incorporating a different material and pattern.

Paired With a Utility Jacket
I just love leopard and olive green together, there is just something about the warm tones that make it feel so cozy and fall like. For this look, I just traded out the vest for the jacket and boom! A completely different look. This option would be great for regions that are cooler. Where are all my Mid-west ladies at?

Outfit Details:
Sweater: Runs TTS- size up if you are looking for a slouchier look.
Jeans: These are my go-to favorite pair of medium washed denim! I always size down one size in this retailers denim!
Mules: Run TTS- wearing a size 8
Vest: Runs TTS- wearing a size small
Utility Jacket: Runs large- I sized down to the x-small
Earrings: These are SO light weight and comfortable!
Black Purse: Such a fun classic bag. Comes in so many great colors.

A few other ways I love to style this sweater:
Layered over an oxford or chambray top- this adds such a classy feel to the sweater with little to no effort. Add a statement necklace for a touch of glam.
Paired with black denim! This sweater pops so nicely when paired with any pair of black denim.

Earth Tone Looks:
I picked up this rust colored sweater a few weeks back, I loved it so much, I bought it in cream and black too! It’s so soft and cozy and for the price, you really cannot beat it! Here are two ways to wear it for Turkey Day!

By itself
The color of this is so rich, it really just screams fall. I paired with my favorite leopard mules and a pretty pair of earrings!

I am obsessed with this look! I just love the rust and olive color combo and the pop of leopard! I just love all the neutral earth tones. You could also add a cute blanket scarf for some added texture and warmth.

Leopard Mules: Run small- I sized up to an 8.5

Tan Leather Bag: I got this one from Madewell during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but this one is SUPER similar and from the same retailer. This is the scarf I tied on the handle.

Leggings are Life Looks:
I talked about both of the next looks in this post. But they are just a super comfortable option for Thanksgiving, so I wanted to include them again.

Both of these looks are also using these faux leather leggings, which are the best, ever! They just add a little extra something to a pair of ordinary leggings, plus they suck you in, in all of the right places (BONUS: that means you can eat more mashed potatoes and fluff)

If you and your girlfriends are ones to hit up the Thanksgiving and black Friday deals, I think these outfits are great to take you from the Thanksgiving meal to Black Friday shopping.

Long Sherpa Faux-Suede Linked Coat:
If you are looking to be cozy on Thanksgiving, this is your outfit! This long Sherpa jacket is AMAZING… I bought it in the navy color as well. I just paired it with a comfy mockneck sweater and some cute leather sneakers.

Not a fan of leggings? First off, you’re crazy, kidding, this jacket also looks great with both regular denim and black denim.

If you are looking to dress the look up a bit, switch the sneakers out for tan riding boots!

Outfit Details:
Long Sherpa Faux-Suede Lined Coat: Runs big, I sized down one size. Wearing an x-small.
Faux Leather Leggings: These are meant to suck you in, so, if you are looking to really suck you in, go with your true size, if you are wanting some control, then size up. I sized up to a large.
Tan Mock Neck Sweater: Runs TTS, wearing a size small.
Tan Sneakers: I sized up a half size in these, wearing an 8.5!

Sherpa Linked Denim Jacket

This outfit is SUPER casual, but I wanted to give you ladies some variation of casual. If you and your family lays pretty low and spends the day snacking and watching football, then this look might be right up your alley.
I just paired this cozy Sherpa-lined denim jacket with the faux leather leggings, and a basic striped tee. It’s a super simple but cute look! If you are wanting to dress this look up a bit, switch the leggings out for your favorite pair of black denim, and change out the sneakers for a cute mule or flat.
