How was everyone’s weekend? I had a fantastic weekend, I spent a lot of time with family, we took some blog photos, did some shopping, and ate some yummy food! I definitely had the ‘case of the Monday’s’ yesterday… I always get the Monday blues after a fun weekend.
But you know what cures post weekend blues? Cute sweaters! Which leads me to what this whole post is about! Sweaters are a staple in my closet for the colder seasons, so I thought it would be fun to show you how I styled one of my favorite mockneck sweaters three different ways.
Option One- Preppy Layers
Over a gingham top, simple necklace, and fun shoes add a preppy vibe.
Give me all the gingham! This burgundy gingham top is the perfect fall color and really makes the sweater pop! I’ve paired this with a dark wash denim, a simple necklace, and both a stone colored bootie and for a fun twist, a leopard mule.

Option Two – Laidback and Ladylike
With a simple denim skirt and polished accessories, you’ve got an easy feminine look.
I’m always looking to pull some of my late summer staples into fall, and this denim skirt is one of them! I’m pairing this with the same necklace and mules as above and trading my jeans for a skirt. The skirt adds such a girly touch, I’ve front tucked my sweater to accentuate my shape.
Option Three- The Out of Office Chic
With tailored denim, simple accessories, and a fun shoe make for a perfect cozy weekend look.
On the weekends, I am looking for something easy, cute and comfortable. All I’ve done here is removed the gingham top from option one. The leopard mule spices the outfit up a bit without sacrificing any comfort.
Outfit Details:
Sweater: Runs large- Size down (wearing an XS)
Similar Sweater: This sweater is also super cute + comes in so many great colors!
Gingham Top: Runs TTS (wearing a size small. One detail you don’t see in the photos is that it has a raw hem, which I LOVE! This also has a more oxford shirt texture which makes it great for layering.
Similar Gingham Top: This is similar to mine pictured above + comes in lots of colors.
Jeans: Runs TTS (Wearing a 28)
Denim Skirt: This one is still available in a few sizes and on sale (Runs large, size down- Wearing a 27). This one is also SO cute.
Booties: Run TTS (wearing a size 8)
Leopard Mules: Run small, size up a half size (wearing a size 8.5)
Necklace: Each necklace is slightly different! Loving the colors for fall.
